It's the day before our new foster Greyhound arrives and I have a few things to finish. The first is to wash the floors and then wash the carpet in the family room. Normally I wouldn't wash the floors because the last snowfall is still melting, but I want the house to smell clean, so hopefully the new foster won't feel the need to mark.
Our new foster will be with us until next Saturday. He's staying long enough for me to get a general feeling for him and to work on socialization with men and to hopefully get him used to loud noises around the house and that includes kids. It's quite a bit to ask and hope he can handle in one week, but he has a potential home waiting for him. I'll do my best and in the end all I can do is be honest about his progress to VAGA and the new potential owner.
