I waited for the paint to dry and when all was said and done yesterday I had to put a third coat of red on the walls of the powder room. I honestly don’t think the gray primer did anything to help coverage. I would have been better off tinting the primer the Posh Red. I didn’t have to roll three coats of red in my office and I tinted the primer the red I used. Anyhow, I was also able to paint the baseboards behind the toilet and last night at 9 pm the DH put the toilet back in its rightful place. Now at least we can use the toilet. I will paint the rest of the baseboards today, clean the hallway and take down the baby gates. The rest of the work will have to wait until I can pick up the crown molding. The project looms.
Tonight at midnight NaNo starts! Are you ready? I am and I am looking forward to this one. I have a loose outline and two main characters and that’s it. I’m not a planner when I write fiction and NaNoWriMo is about getting the story written, having fun, and creativity. I smile at all the e-mail I see flying back and forth about preparation for the month. The conversations range from how do you do it with little ones to how do you keeps the house clean. Simply put you just do it, which is my philosophy for writing too. I’ll write at least 3500 words a day Monday through Friday for NaNo and I clean on the weekends and continue to work on my current WIP Beneath the Surface. I’ll write between my shifts for work and playtime with my dogs. I’ll write on the weekends if I accomplish my word counts and scene revisions for BTS. Basically I’ll write whenever I have a spare moment. Honestly I’m not worried about finishing, my goal is to have fun and let my characters stories fill the pages of my spiral notebooks. What worries me is staying on top of transcribing what I write and my continued participation with my online critique friends. I’m going to try and write two novels simultaneously, but admit that BTS is my priority. Regardless I will have fun and hopefully by the end of November I will have something in the 50K that is workable.
Good luck to all the Nano’ers! Until next time, good writing!
You have a great philosophy on finding time to write! And your powder room sounds great. Post some pictures, maybe it will motivate me to do the kids bathroom.
