WARNING! Soda is Bad for YOU! DUH!

Well, some watchdog group thinks we're too dumb to know that
sodas are fattening, cause tooth decay and so on that they want warning labels
put on the cans. I don't know about anyone else but can you say duh? I don't
need a watchdog group telling me the downside of soda; I hear it from my
dentist and regular doctor. I rarely drink my favorite soda Vanilla Coke
anymore and see the difference in my pants size. I've never allowed my kids to
drink soda freely, though they would if I let them, instead I push water and
milk. I'll even spring for flavored water occasionally, especially since I
found Clear Choice which takes the place of my soda, no calories, no sodium and
no sugar, just bubbles, water and flavor.

If you're anything like me you begin to ignore all these
watchdog groups, I don't need anyone from these groups or otherwise telling
what to eat, drink or do with my body.

Well, my rain prayers were answered. Tuesday night around
11:30 pm some major thunderstorms raged through my area dumping about a half-inch
of rain, of course I was the only one that these storms woke from a sound sleep
and yesterday afternoon we had more thunder and an awesome lighting show and
another half inch to an inch of rain in about two hours. The heat and humidity
are still hanging around, but that's typical of this area, I dislike the
humidity, it makes it difficult to exercise my 8 and 10-month-old puppies. I've
had to walk them between 5 and 6 am and run them in the backyard before 8 am
because by 8 am the humidity is oppressive and my doodle Wyatt just can't
handle it because of his thick curly coat.

Tonight is the last class of training for my puppies, well
this step anyway. We'll have a CGC run through and while I'm confident in Josie
doing well, Wyatt is still having trouble with the meet and greet. We're also
having a tricks contest and I have tried teaching Wyatt to pray and not had
much luck, I've tried tirelessly to get him to place his paws on a chair and
bow his head, but he refuses to place his paws on the chair. I'm not sure why
he won't do this because he is very paw oriented. My only conclusion is he's
confused by what I want him to do, which means I need to break down the trick
further.

Josie will also have a tricks contest, basically she can
roll over, I'm trying to teach her to shake paws but she's the opposite of
Wyatt and not paw oriented at all. Our next training steps are to move Josie to
level two training and possibly have Wyatt repeat level two to help with his
separation problem from me, so my husband will most likely repeat level two
with him. My long-term goal is to have my wonderful pups become therapy dogs
and hopefully train Wyatt to play Flyball.

Now, I need to get into my daughter's room and start
painting so I can update the photo with the true wall color.
