The last week has found me writing at feverish pace. I'm not exactly sure what spurred my writing but it sure feels great to have added more than 5,000 words to my current WIP. I'm trying to decide if I'll participate in this years NaNoWriMo challenge, I have a story in mind with setting, plot and characters, but I am knee deep in my current WIP and I'm afraid it will suffer a slow death if I put it aside for the month of November. I know my family wouldn't appreciate me working on two novels at the same time. If I were to do that nothing would get finished at my house. As it stands the house is a total wreck!
Sunday I cleaned and washed the living room floor because the dogs had tracked mud throughout. Yesterday we had a break from the rain, between last Friday and Saturday we received over six inches and it's raining again today. Normally I don't mind the rain because I like to write to the sound of the raindrops hitting my porch roof, but it appears I have a dog that doesn't like to get wet. Josie will not leave the porch to do her business. It's as if she thinks she'll melt if she gets wet. I guess we should have realized this because she doesn't like baths. The other two dogs will happily play in the rain especially if mud puddles are involved and right now my back yard is one giant mud pit.
On the decorating front my daughter is about ready to have the final touches put on her room. I finally painted the door jam and this past weekend my DH cut the shelves for her desk area. I have one coat of paint to go on some of them and one more coat of poly to go on the others. By days end at least three of the shelves will be hung and ready to house my DD collection of horses. But now it's time to wake the kids for school and then I need to load the dishwasher and gather all the clothes for washing.
Well, I'm a glutton for punishment, I suppose...so I'll be doing NaNo again!
