The first measurable snow finally fell yesterday, and then the sleet and freezing rain followed. By 6:30 pm schools across the region were already closed for today. My street is a sheet of ice and that’s why the schools are closed. The area I live is 80% school bus riders and the buses are no match for ice. My kids are still asleep and I’m taking care of e-mail and getting laundry finished so I can curl up on the couch with the revision of my novel Beneath the Surface.
