Josie Collects Aluminum for Local SPCA

Micahcans2
Today we loaded the girls and Josie into the Blazer,
attached the trailer and filled it with all the aluminum cans my youngest DD’s
school collected during the month of May. My DD had the idea to collect the
aluminum at school because each child could find a grocery bag full of cans
more easily than bring in a cash donation. Our spring drive doubled from last
fall, so a big WOOF goes out to all the students, teachers, staff and parents
at Salem Elementary the Greater Fredericksburg SPCA is a step closer to their
new facility!

Josie is a real delight! I realize I am biased but she is a
wonderful dog despite her plastic chewing habits. She jumped right into the
Blazer and road calmly to the SPCA with us. Without hesitation she jumped out
of the Blazer when we arrived and entered the SPCA building and promptly sat to
await her pets from all the volunteers. Many of the volunteers remember her.
Back then she was named Violet and the list was long to adopt her. Lucky us, we
were chosen to be her family.

Until next time Woof, Woof and a Roo!
